Sergio is a business and real estate lawyer. For more than four decades, Sergio has acted as Legal Counsel for Mexican and foreign clients in all types of domestic and cross-border matters.
He began his professional career in 1979 as a litigation lawyer for Grupo Industrial Alfa, then the largest private company in Mexico and the only Mexican company on the Fortune 500 list of the largest companies outside the United States. Later he worked for one of the top litigation law firms in Mexico City.
At the age of 26, Sergio was appointed Legal Counsel of the Mexican Stock Exchange. Sergio subsequently joined NRM Communications, a prominent broadcasting group, and real estate developer, where he served as Corporate Counsel.
During the boom in maquiladoras and other industries in Tijuana and the rest of Baja California, he accepted a partnership with a prominent Mexico City law firm, along with the challenge of opening and running its Baja California litigation office.
Sergio concentrates his practice in Consulting, Compliance, and Litigation in Business, Real Estate, and Labor law.
During his career as a lawyer, Sergio has successfully litigated many cases and advised clients to sell or acquire companies. His experience and knowledge as a lawyer, along with his extensive network of friends and colleagues throughout Mexico, gives him unmatched resources to meet client needs most efficiently and effectively.
Sergio obtained his Law Degree from the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City.
